Resignation of Director

Empyrean Energy plc ("Empyrean" or the "Company"), advises that Dr Patrick Cross has resigned from his position as Non-Executive Director of the Company, due to ill health, effective immediately.

Dr Cross has been a dedicated member of the Empyrean Board, previously as Chairman, for over 20 years and has over that time made a significant contribution to the Company. Empyrean will now commence a review of its existing Board composition and provide an update as and when there are developments to report.

Non-Executive Chairman Mr John Laycock commented:

"On behalf of the Board, I would like express enormous gratitude to Patrick for his extended service to Empyrean but also his friendship over that time. Patrick has been an integral part of the Company's journey, serving first as Chairman and, more recently, as a Non-Executive Director. Throughout his tenure, he has provided unwavering dedication, sound judgement and steadfast support through both challenging and successful periods.

The Board fully understands Patrick's decision to step down on health grounds and, while we are saddened to see him leave, his health and wellbeing must come first. We extend our sincere gratitude for his significant contribution to the Company and wish him and his family our very best for the future."

"Having had the privilege of working closely with Patrick since 2017 when I joined Empyrean, I have greatly valued his experience, guidance and counsel. His knowledge of the Company and the industry have been invaluable, and his integrity and commitment have left a lasting mark on Empyrean.

On behalf of the management team, I would like to express my personal thanks to Patrick for his support during my transition into the role of Chief Executive Officer. Patrick leaves with the respect, gratitude and friendship of everyone at Empyrean."
