DIRECTOR PURCHASES SHARES

Frontera Resources Corporation (AIM: FRR), an independent oil and gas exploration and production company (the "Company"), was notified on 26 July 2016 by Andrew J. Szescila, Director, of the purchase of 2,500,000 ordinary shares in the Company ("Ordinary Shares"). Following this share purchase, Mr. Szescila holds a total of 15,000,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.35 percent of the Company's issued share capital. The share purchase occurred at the available market price as set forth below.
