Talvivaara Mining Company Plc ("the Company"), was notified on 11 September 2008 that, on 10 September 2008, Mrs. Anne Perä, wife of Chief Executive Officer Mr. Pekka Perä, bought 200,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 255p each. 

Following these transactions, Anne Perä holds a total beneficial interest in the Company of 319,000 shares, representing 0.14% of the voting rights attached to the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
