Ten Alps PLC02 November 2006 For immediate release 2 November 2006 Ten Alps Plc: Entertainment TV First major terrestrial TV commission Ten Alps Plc ('Ten Alps') announces its first significant terrestrialentertainment TV commission - six one-hour episodes of a Channel 4 seriesprovisionally titled Harvey Goldsmith Presents... The project was announced by Channel 4 today, having been in production for thepast three months. The commission represents the first publicised fruit of a move made earlier in2006 by Ten Alps, beyond its core factual TV strength into entertainment anddrama. In the series, high-profile promoter Harvey Goldsmith (Live Aid, Pavarotti inHyde Park, tours for Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen) brings his uniqueexperience of triumphs and setbacks in a lifetime as a showbiz impresario to theaid of six entertainment acts or businesses. Some are internationally famous,some are almost unknown. The precise content of the show will be announced whenthe series is broadcast in early Spring 2007. It is produced by Ten Alps TV,the group's entertainment subsidiary. Bob Geldof, co-founder and non-executive director of Ten Alps, said: "It's an overused word in music, but I'll use it anyway: Harvey Goldsmith reallyis a legend." On 30 October Goldsmith received the lifetime achievement award from the MusicIndustry Trust in a Grosvenor House ceremony. Background Ten Alps TV also has a cable/satellite entertainment series on air in the firstquarter of 2007, namely Top Dog, on Discovery Animal Planet. The Ten Alps group also owns factual TV production companies Brook Lapping,Blakeway, 3BM and HDTV, as well as an interest in the Teachers' TV project. With around 430 staff, based principally in London and the North-West, the groupalso has publishing and internet interests. Forthcoming announcements Ten Alps will update on a specific date for its interim results and accompanyinganalyst presentation in due course. Ten Alps will update on progress on its internet TV activities - which areproceeding on target - before the end of November.
