Polo Resources Limited (AIM: POL), the natural resources investment company with interests in gold, oil and gas, coal, iron ore and phosphate, advises that it has been joined as a party to an application to the Takeovers Panel of Australia (the "Takeovers Panel") by Blackham Resources Limited (ASX: BLK) ("Blackham") which is seeking a declaration in relation to the shareholding of the Company in Blackham and potential sale of the relevant shares.The Takeovers Panel has made an interim order that Polo and Polo Investments Limited (amongst others) must not dispose of any interest in BLK ordinary shares pending a detailed consideration of the application. The board of directors of the Company believes that there is no merit in the application and intends to oppose the application.The Company will update shareholders on the progress of the application in due course.
