Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Amiad (AIM: AFS), a leading global producer of water treatment and filtration solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Zehava Simon (née Frank), aged 55, as Non-Executive Director of the Company and a member of the Board of Directors with immediate effect.

Ms. Simon has significant experience in conducting business at multinational technology companies. Most recently, she spent over 10 years at BMC Software Inc, which she joined in 2000 as VP of Finance & Operations for BMC Software Israel ("BMC Israel") before being appointed Regional VP, CEO & President of the Israeli subsidiary. In this role, she was responsible for directing operations in Israel and India as well as offshore sites, and oversaw the successful ramping of the business in these regions. Ms. Simon was promoted to VP of Corporate Development for BMC Software, based at the company's headquarters in Houston, Texas, in 2011 where she played a key role in identifying and capturing emerging market and other business opportunities primarily through M&A integration strategy. She held this position until 2013. Prior to BMC Software, Ms. Simon held various positions at Intel Israel, which she joined in 1982, including leading Finance & Operations where she was responsible for growing the business' footprint in Israel and expanding operations.

During her career, Ms. Simon has held several advisory roles, including as a Director of Insightec (2005-2012), M-Systems (2005-2006) and Tower Semiconductor (1999-2004). In addition, she has advised the Israeli Trade Ministry and US-Israel Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Simon is currently a Director of AudioCodes Ltd (NASDAQ: AUDC; TASE: AUDC).
