Stephen (aged 56 years) has been managingdirector Billington Structures Limited, the group's principal structural steelsubsidiary, since 1991. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institutionof Structural Engineers and a member of the Institution of Occupational Safetyand Health. He was President of the industry's trade association the BritishConstructional Steelwork Association (BCSA) from 2000 to 2003. In addition to Amco Group companies, during the past five years Stephen hasbeen, but is no longer, a director of BCSA Ltd and Steel ConstructionCertification Scheme Ltd.
