Xpediator (AIM: XPD), a leading provider of freight management services across the UK and Central and Eastern Europe, announces that Rob Ross, CEO of the Company will step down from his role, with effect from today. Wim Pauwels, currently a Non-Executive Director, will take on the position of Interim CEO and a search has been initiated for a successor.
The Board believes Wim is well suited to fulfill the role of Interim CEO given his extensive experience in the logistics, freight-forwarding and contract warehousing markets, including, as Chief Regional Officer for Yusen Logistics Europe (annual turnover of c. €1 billion) up until 2019. In addition, Wim has a good understanding of the Group's business having been on the Board since November 2019. All three divisions have strong leadership teams and the Board will provide any additional support, as required.
There is no change to the financial position of the business, trading across the Company continues to be positive and in line with market expectations for the full year.
Mark Whiteling, Non-Executive Chairman of Xpediator, said, "The Board would like to thank Rob for his contribution, especially in leading the consolidation of the UK operations, since joining the Company in January 2020, originally as CFO. Today, the logistics sector is transitioning rapidly to adapt to the post pandemic market, this is generating new opportunities for Xpediator and we now need to focus on developing an organic growth strategy for the Group to complement our existing strategy of growth through acquisition."
