Board Changes
White Young Green plc announcesΒ the following changes to its Board which will take place with immediate effect.Β
Lawrie Haynes,Β theΒ Chief Executive of the Group, is leaving the business by mutual agreementΒ andΒ Paul Hamer, currentlyΒ theΒ Chief Operating Officer, becomes Group Managing Director.Β PaulΒ will report to Peter Wood,Β theΒ ChairmanΒ of the Group, who,Β as a consequence of these changes,Β will increase his time in the business.
Commenting on the changes, Peter Wood, ChairmanΒ said:Β
"Over the last few monthsΒ White Young Green's priorities have changedΒ in response toΒ the challenging economic environment. Whilst our primary responsibilitiesΒ remainΒ to ensure thatΒ we continue to deliverΒ highΒ quality services to all our clients, we now also need to ensureΒ the business is in the right shapeΒ to exploit the recovery when it arises. We will haveΒ a more efficient cost baseΒ andΒ ourΒ business modelΒ will beΒ focused on the key commercial growth areasΒ as outlined in our business strategy. The Board believesΒ the changes we are making todayΒ underpinΒ thatΒ strategy.
