Waterman Group PLC10 January 2007 WATERMAN GROUP PLC ("Waterman") WATERMAN GROUP ANNOUNCES SUCCESSION PLAN Waterman Group plc, the engineering and environmental consultants, announcesthat Bob Campbell, Managing Director since 1988, has informed the Board of hisdecision to retire from the plc Board on 30 June 2007, prior to his 65thbirthday in September. The Group has a long term succession strategy in place and the NominationsCommittee has conducted a selection process and is pleased to announce that ithas appointed Nicholas Taylor, currently a plc Board director withresponsibility for Waterman's Structural Engineering business, to succeed Bob asManaging Director from 1 July 2007. Nicholas, aged 48, graduated from Oxford University in 1980 and following twoyears' experience with Taylor Woodrow Construction, joined Waterman in 1982. Hehas played a leading role in the Group's expansion and diversification and hascontrolled a number of major multi disciplinary projects involving manydifferent Group services. He was elected to the plc Board in 2003 and iscurrently responsible for the Group's structural engineering business. Waterman will continue to benefit from Bob Campbell's long experience in theindustry as he has agreed to continue to be employed in an advisory capacity ona number of specific projects. Bob Campbell commented: " I am delighted that Nick Taylor, with the full backing of the Board, has beenselected to succeed me as Managing Director. He has gained considerableexperience in a senior capacity at Waterman and is well known throughout oursector.
