Selected as a Finalist for Security Excellence Awards 2013
Westminster Group Plc ('Westminster' or the 'Group'), the AIM listed supplier of system solutions and products to the security, defence, fire protection and safety markets worldwide, is pleased to announce that Westminster Aviation Security Services ('WASS'), part of the Group's Managed Services Division, has been selected as a finalist in the International Achievement category in the Security Excellence Awards 2013 to be presented on the 23rd October 2013 at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London.
The award recognises a UK company that has realised an outstanding achievement or improvement in international sales or exports, or has otherwise been instrumental in a significant security application or project outside of the UK.
Approaching their fifteenth year, the Security Excellence Awards have consistently broken new ground in highlighting the very best people, projects and processes the UK's security sector has to offer. Every October, over 1,000 of the profession's foremost practitioners gather at London's prestigious Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, London to recognise and honour the magnificent achievements of their peers in the security management, installation, consultancy and manufacturing sub-sectors.
Commenting on the selection Peter Fowler, Chief Executive of Westminster Group, said:
"I am delighted that our aviation security division's substantial achievements within the aviation security sector worldwide have been recognised by WASS's selection as a finalist for this prestigious award.
