€350k New Contract Award

Airport Security - Drug Enforcement Agency - East Africa

Westminster Group Plc ('Westminster' or the 'Group'), the AIM listed supplier of system solutions and products to the security, defence, fire protection and safety markets worldwide, is pleased to announce that it has secured a new contract for the supply of advanced technology personnel screening equipment for three international airports in East Africa, capable of detecting narcotics and contraband concealed on or within the body.

The initial contract, secured by the Group's technology division and valued at approximately €350,000, will enable an East African Drug Enforcement Agency to efficiently and effectively screen people passing through the airports for drugs and illegal substances. Westminster were selected to provide this solution due to their experience in providing complex screening solutions, their aviation security experience and their ability to respond quickly to the Agency's urgent requirements as well as having local installation, training and maintenance capabilities.
