Wolf Minerals achieves milestone in permitting process for Hemerdon Tungsten Project

· Waste Facility Environmental Permit granted 'minded to' status.

· Final step before granting the permit.

· Waste Facility Environmental Permit anticipated to be granted in December.

Specialty metals exploration and development company, Wolf Minerals Limited (ASX: WLF, AIM: WLFE) (Wolf, the Company) is pleased to announce a key milestone in the environmental permitting process for its world class Hemerdon tungsten and tin project in Devon, in southwest England, with the project's Waste Facility Environmental Permit being granted "minded to" status, the final step before granting the permit.

The Waste Facility Environmental Permit is the final major permit required in the development of the Hemerdon project.

Wolf submitted its Waste Facility Environmental Permit application to the UK government's principal environmental body for England, the Environment Agency (EA), in May 2013. The EA has conducted a two month public consultation period and has received reviews by partner organisations such as Natural England, Devon County Council and others.

As a result of this process the EA now has sufficient information to publish a draft permit. The draft permit is currently undergoing a one month public consultation period which started on 11 November 2013, after which a final decision on the grant of the permit will be made.

During this public consultation period, only new information that may affect the Environment Agency's decision will be considered.

It is anticipated that the Hemerdon Waste Facility Environmental Permit will be granted in December 2013.

Wolf Minerals Managing Director, Russell Clark, said:

"This is a very significant step in the development of the Hemerdon tungsten and tin project. Hemerdon will be the first significant mine to be built in the UK in over 45 years and the agencies have worked very closely with us to ensure we will have a waste facility permit that provides protection for the broader environment and community. We have worked closely with the community and the environmental authorities to ensure we have a world class and fully compliant operation on all aspects of the project. Once in operation, the Hemerdon project will deliver over 200 full time jobs to the region for many years to come, providing diversification in employment and new sources of income for many of the local community."
