eServGlobal (AIM:ESG & ASX:ESV), the provider of end-to-end mobile financial services to emerging markets, announces the resignation of Non-executive Director, François Barrault with immediate effect to pursue his many other interests.
François joined the Board of eServGlobal in March 2003. During his 12 year tenure he has been instrumental in the development of the company, contributing to several strategic developments in his long service.
John Conoley, Executive Chairman, eServGlobal, said, "François is well known as a pioneer in the mobile world, including in the field of digital payment. On behalf of the Board, the shareholders and the employees, I would like to thank François for his substantial contribution to the company and in particular for the role he played most recently in the establishment of the HomeSend Joint Venture."
Pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 3.16.4 the Company advises that Mr Barrault is to be paid a consulting fee of €15,000 for attendance and Company representation at industry events in the current year.
François is currently the Chairman of the Idate/Digiworld institute, the leading European think tank in TMT. He is also a Non-executive Director of Alpha Networks, Numergy, Les Editions du Priviege, Fondation Mimi and sits on various advisory boards around the world. François is also the founder and chairman of FDB Partners, an investment and consulting firm that specialises in the technology and publishing arenas.
eServGlobal wishes François well for his future projects and is sure he will continue to contribute to the future of the telecommunication industry.
The Company will continue to review the appropriate Board composition for the medium and long term.
