Appointment of New Director

Value and Income Trust PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Dominic Neary as an independent non-executive Director with effect from 26 January 2018.

Mr Neary holds an MSc in Applied Statistics from Oxford University and a PhD in Statistics from Reading University. He is an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals and a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society.

Mr Neary was Head of the Global Income Growth team at Baillie Gifford & Co. until August 2017 where he was also the manager of The Scottish American Investment Company PLC (SAINTS). Prior to joining Baillie Gifford & Co. in February 2009, he held various investment and fund manager roles at Stewart Ivory & Co., Henderson Global Investors and Insight Investment.

As at the date of this announcement, Mr Neary has no beneficial interest in the Ordinary Shares of the Company.

There are no other disclosures required under Section 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
