Universe Group plc (AIM: UNG.L), a leading developer and supplier of point of sale, payment and loyalty systems announces that Andrew Blazye, Executive Chairman, has today acquired 22,842,785 ordinary shares of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 5 pence per Ordinary Share. Subsequent to this purchase, Mr Blazye has a holding of 23,142,785 Ordinary Shares representing 8.86% of the Company's issued share capital.
These Ordinary Shares were acquired from Darragh Fanning (being the ultimate beneficial owner of Astralflair Limited). Darragh was the founder of Celtech, which was acquired by Universe in April 2019, and remained in a senior executive role within the Group overseeing the integration and operations of Celtech. Darragh leaves the Group to pursue other business interests with the Board's sincere gratitude for his personal contribution to the Group and best wishes for the future.
