We give below the Performance highlights of the Company for FY 2013-14,

β’ The Hot Metal production was 9.90 Million Tonnes (showing an increase of 11.74% on year-on-year basis) and Crude Steel production was 9.15 Million Tonnes (showing an increase of 12.55% on year-on-year basis) in FY 13-14.
β’ Saleable Steel production was higher by 12.72% year-on-year at 8.95 Million Tonnes.

β’ Jharia: Highest ever Clean Coal Production of 10.80 Lakh Tonnes in last 5 years
β’ OMQ: Highest ever iron ore production & dispatch of 17.3 Million Tonnes against previous best of 15 Million Tonnes in FY 13 (an increase of ~15%)
β’ Blast Furnaces: Best ever Hot Metal production of 9.90 Million Tonnes against 8.86 Million Tonnes in FY 13
β’ Coke Making: Best ever coke production by HMC of 15.998 Lakh Tonnes against previous best of 15.997 Lakh Tonnes in FY 13
β’ Agglomerate (Sinter Plant): Best ever Solid Waste Consumption at 131Kg/t against previous best of 107 kg/t
β’ LD#1: Best Ever monthly billet production of 3.04 Lakh Tonnes in Mar 14 against previous best of 2.93 Lakh Tonnes in Mar 13
β’ LD#3 & TSCR: Best ever production of HR Coil at 2.18 Million Tonnes against previous best of 0.99 Million Tonnes in FY 13
β’ Environment: Stack emission improved to 936 kg/hr from 1142 kg/hr in FY 13

β’ Formation of CSR Advisory Council to provide macro policy-level inputs to guide the Company's approach towards CSR
β’ Seven Skill development centres set up in partnership with renowned training institutes, 1700 people trained
β’ ~ 3.50 lakh people provided with primary health care services in operational areas
β’ More than 16,000 adults made functionally literate
β’ Livelihood opportunities provided to ~ 3000 farmers through agriculture development
β’ ~ 1900 solar street lights installed in villages of Jharkhand and Odisha
β’ More than 10,000 youth taught tribal scripts of Ho, Santhali and Oraon languages
