Result of GM and Board Changes
Two Shields Investments plc, the AIM-quoted investing company, is pleased to announce that at its General Meeting held earlier today all resolutions were duly passed. As such, Andrew Lawley has been appointed to its board as Non-executive Chairman with immediate effect.
Mr Lawley, a qualified accountant, has extensive experience in both the corporate and private equity sectors with a specialism in M&A. He has previously held senior operating positions at companies including Dixons Carphone plc, RBS Equity Finance and RBS Debt Ventures. At Dixons Carphone plc, Andrew held the position of Group Strategy Director, was interim CEO of the Team Knowhow division and post-merger, as Integration Director, led the plan for delivery of over £80m of synergies for the business. Andrew has a strong track record of working closely with management teams to support significant business transformation.
Mr Lawley, non-executive Chairman, said: "I am delighted to be joining the board of directors for Two Shields and look forward to working closely with them. Our focus will be on targeting growth capital investment opportunities primarily in to privately-owned businesses. This strategy combines with our existing investments which we believe offer considerable value to net assets. In particular WeShop, the digital social-commerce platform, and BrandShield, the leading online anti-fraud and cybersecurity platform, are well positioned for significant growth with established management teams operating in exciting market places. I look forward to further developing our growth capital investments and building a high-quality investment team to take advantage of the numerous opportunities that we are seeing.
