OAO TMK28 April 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- April 28, 2008 PRESS RELEASE TMK Ships First Batch of Large-Diameter Pipes for the Kenkiyak-Kumkol Pipeline. OAO TMK (TMK) announces that it began shipments of 813mm X60 large- diameterpipes with 9.5 mm wall thickness, according to API 5L, for use in theconstruction of the Kenkiyak-Kumkol pipeline in Kazakhstan. TMK will supply 15,000 tonnes of large-diameter pipes to "Kazakhstan-ChinaPipeline" LLC for the period of April-June, 2008. The Kenkiyak-Kumkol pipelineis the third section of the 761 km long Kazakhstan-China Pipeline. This projectwill merge Kazakhstan's main pipelines into a unified system that will beconnected to Russian and Chinese pipeline networks. The pipes are produced at TMK's Volzhsky Pipe Plant.
