NHS England Commission New Work

Shared Decision Making

The Board of Totally (AIM: TLY) announces that Totally Health Limited ("Totally Health"), the Company's wholly owned subsidiary and the provider of a range of services to the healthcare sector, has secured a commission from NHS England for additional work from Totally Health for the clinical review and updating of the current 36 Patient Decision Aids ("PDAs") produced by Totally Health as part of their original work with the Right Care Programme.

This work is in addition to the existing ongoing monthly contract (further to the announcement of 20 May 2014) with NHS England for the hosting and maintenance of NHS England's Shared Decision Making ("SDM") website. The SDM website is a tool specifically designed to enable patients to reach an informed decision regarding the best course of treatment prior to any onward referrals. Part of this important work is access to the current 36 PDAs, developed by Totally Health to help people make decisions when faced with difficult clinical choices.

The commission is for the value of £66,200, excluding VAT, and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2016.

Shared Decision Making and the Management of Long Term Conditions are key strategic areas for the NHS in England. The NHS in England estimates that £7 out of every £10 spent on health and social care is spent looking after people diagnosed with a Long Term Condition.
