New contract with Southern Derbyshire CCG

The Board of Totally is pleased to announce that Totally Health, with effect from November 2013, will be working with Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and the Royal Derby Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to help with the management of increased pressure on the NHS typically caused by winter weather conditions, by working with a group of patients diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

Totally Health will work with 100 patients throughout the winter period, providing Clinical Health Coaching Services to help the patients better self manage their conditions and to seek to avoid exacerbations. The Directors are hopeful that a successful execution of this contract may lead to a formal procurement process for a significantly larger project.

Totally Health, a wholly owned subsidiary of Totally Plc, provides specialist Clinical Health Coaching services to promote self care and bring about behaviour changes which impact positively on the health of people diagnosed with a Long Term Condition. The NHS spends approximately £7 out of every £10 on managing people with at least 1 Long Term Condition. Long Term Condition Management is a key priority for the NHS, an issue that is increasing with an aging population, together with the increasing incidence of obesity. Other CCGs are already benefiting from the services provided by Totally Health and reducing non elective admissions by avoiding exacerbations in Long Term Conditions thereby reducing the strain on NHS A&E Services.
