Director Change
Digital Barriers plc (AIM: DGB), the specialist provider of advanced surveillance technologies to the security and defence sectors, announces a change to its Board of Directors (the "Board").
Group Finance Director, Nik Holgate, is to leave the Group and today steps down from his position as Group Finance Director and from the Board. Mr Holgate will remain with the Group until the end of August 2013 to assist with the orderly transition of the role.
International executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles has been engaged by the Group to conduct a search for a long-term replacement for Mr Holgate. With the Group's international sales activities and expansion expected to increase significantly in the medium to long term, particularly in its target markets of Asia, the USA and the Middle East, the Board will therefore place great emphasis on the candidate's international and growth company experience.
Until a new, permanent Group Finance Director is engaged, the Board has appointed Paul Bergin as interim Head of Finance to ensure the continued robust financial management of the Group. Paul has significant experience in public company finance roles most recently with McBride Plc.
The Group will provide a further update once the formal search process has concluded.
