Thomas Cook Group PLC25 April 2008 25 April 2008 Thomas Cook Group plc Management Appointment Thomas Cook Group plc ("Thomas Cook") announces today that Angus Porter has beenappointed as Group Strategy Director from 2 June 2008. This key managementposition was announced in June 2007, as part of the new management structure forthe company post the merger with MyTravel. As a result of his appointment,Angus will be stepping down as a Non Executive Director of Thomas Cook withimmediate effect. Thomas Cook has four key strategic aims; to maximise the value of the mainstreambusiness; to become a leading independent travel provider; to be the leading UKtravel-related financial services provider; and to capture growth and valuethrough mergers and acquisitions. Angus' role will be to drive this Groupstrategy forward, looking for opportunities in new markets and developing newproducts and services. He will also take on strategic responsibility for theThomas Cook brand and oversee the Group's strategic e-commerce agenda. Angus has a proven track record. He has been an Independent Non ExecutiveDirector on the Thomas Cook Group plc board since June 2007, and prior to thatwas a Non Executive Director of the MyTravel Group plc board for five years.Angus has most recently been Global CEO of Added Value, WPP's Brand DevelopmentConsultancy. Before Added Value, Angus worked for Abbey National, BritishTelecom and Mars in senior marketing, sales and general management roles.
