Thomas Cook Group appoints a new Non Executive Director

Thomas Cook Group plc announces that Dawn Airey will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect from today. She will also be appointed as a member of the Nominations Committee.

Dawn Airey is the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Five TV, a position she has held since October 2008, and prior to that she was Managing Director of Global Content at ITV plc. She has held other senior positions in television throughout her 25 year career. Dawn Airey was an independent non-executive director of Easy Jet plc between 6 April 2004 and 31 December 2008.

Commenting on the appointment, Thomas Cook Group Chairman, Michael Beckett said, "This appointment further strengthens and complements the composition of our Board. Dawn brings current and wide-ranging experience to our deliberations as we deliver against our strategy and create value for our shareholders."

Disclosures pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules

Dawn Airey was an Executive Director of ITV plc between 28 February 2008 and 29 April 2008. She was a Director of Iostar plc between 12 February 2007 and 16 April 2007 (being Chief Executive between 8 April 2007 and 16 April 2007). Iostar plc went into creditors voluntary liquidation on 25 May 2007. There are no other disclosures to be made pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13R (1) - (6) of the Listing Rules.
