Exercise of Options
The Directors of Sirius Minerals Plc (AIM: SXX, OTCQX: SRUXY) ("Sirius" or the "Company"), the globally diversified potash mining company, announce the receipt of an Exercise Notice in relation to 2,550,000 share options issued in October 2009, which are due to expire this month. Therefore, the Company has issued and allotted 2,550,000 new Ordinary Shares of 0.25p per share ("Ordinary Shares") at 17.5p per share raising a total of £446,250. The monies will be used for general working capital purposes.
An application has been made for the 2,550,000 new Ordinary Shares, which will rank pari passu with the Company's existing Ordinary Shares, to be admitted to trading on AIM and trading in such shares is expected to commence on or around 19 October 2012.
Following the issue of the Ordinary Shares, the total number of shares in issue and the total number of ordinary shares in the Company with voting rights will be 1,341,583,310. This figure may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change of interest in, the share capital of the Company under the Financial Service Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
