TRADING UPDATE
SciSys plc, AIM: SSY ('SciSys' or the 'Company'), the specialist supplier of bespoke IT services and solutions to the media broadcast, space, defence, public sector and transport sectors announces the following trading statement for the financial year ended 31 December 2008.
The Directors confirm that the Company will be announcing results for the financial year ended 31 December 2008 on 26 March 2009. The Board anticipates that the Company's results will comfortably meet market expectations for the period.
The Company made good progress in the second half of 2008 building on the progress made in the first half of 2008. In particular, cash generation was substantially stronger than market expectations and the Company will report positive net cash reserves at 31 December 2008.
SciSys' business is based on long-term relationships with key clients in the public and quasi-public sectors. The Company has benefited from a good opening order book position for 2009 and is working to build on this for the second half of the year.
