Board Appointment

Synectics plc (AIM: SNX), a leader in the design, integration, control and management of advanced surveillance technology and networked security systems, is pleased to confirm the appointment of Paul Webb as an executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Mr Webb, who is currently Managing Director of Synectics' Systems Division, joined the Group in 2004. Since then he has overseen the rapid growth of the Group's industrial systems activities and, more latterly, the consolidation of all of Synectics' proprietary technology systems activities into a single operation. He has deep experience of the core areas of Synectics' technology that are key to the Group's future growth.

The following information is disclosed pursuant to Rule 17 and Schedule Two paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies. Paul Anthony Webb, age 49 years, holds the following directorships:

Synectic Systems (Asia) Pte Limited

Synectic Systems (Macau) Pte Limited

Mr Webb has an interest in 217,784 Ordinary Shares of 20p each in Synectics plc through participation in the Company's share schemes. Mr Webb has confirmed that there is no further information in relation to his appointment which is required to be disclosed pursuant to Schedule Two paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
