BOARD APPOINTMENT

Appointment of Colette Burke to the WH Smith Board

WH Smith PLC announces that Colette Burke has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director

with effect from 1st July 2023.

Colette is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of the LEGO Group, and was previously Global Head of Sales and Marketing at Bose Corporation. Colette brings significant US and retail experience from her roles at Bose Corporation and the LEGO Group.

Other than as set out in this announcement there are no further disclosures required in respect of Colette Burke under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
