Board changes
Smart Metering Systems plc (AIM: "SMS", the "Group"), which installs and manages smart meters and carbon reduction assets ("CaRe") to facilitate effective energy management, confirms that as previously announced, David Thompson, CFO left the Group on 31 March 2021 to pursue another opportunity.
Gavin Urwin, who joined the Group in February 2021 as CFO Designate has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and joins the Board of SMS as an Executive Director with effect from 31 March 2021.
Gavin is an experienced CFO with a proven track record working across multiple sectors including professional services, support services, FMCG and retail. He has previously worked at M&Co, William Grant & Sons, Aggreko plc and KPMG. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and has a B. Acc (Hons) from the University of Glasgow.
