STANDARD LIFE EUROPEAN PRIVATE EQUITY TRUST PLC (SLEPET) CALCULATION OFΒ SCRIP DIVIDENDΒ REFERENCE PRICE

SLEPET announcesΒ that the scrip dividend reference priceΒ for the fully paid extra shares to be issued to shareholders who elect to receive the scrip dividend option for theΒ 2009Β finalΒ dividendΒ will beΒ 99.1Β penceΒ per share.
The reference price is calculated as the average of the middle market quotations for the Company's shares as derived from the Daily Official List of the London Stock Exchange for the five business days, which commenced onΒ 30Β December 2009.
Shareholders electing forΒ theΒ scrip dividend option rather than cash would receive one new ordinary share for everyΒ 99.1p otherwise payable as a cash dividend on shares registered in their name on the Record Date in respect of which they have elected for the Scrip Dividend Option.
The detailed terms of the scrip dividend option for the 2009Β final dividend are set out in the circular to shareholders datedΒ 17Β December 2009.
