Senior Management Appointment

New IT Director

Share plc (AIM: SHRE.LN), which operates The Share Centre Limited, a leading independent retail stockbroker, and Sharefunds Limited, the Group's investment management and fund administration subsidiary, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Sargeant as IT Director of The Share Centre Limited. The appointment takes effect on 17 November 2014, subject to regulatory approval.

John Sargeant, aged 44 years, was previously Head of IT at One Stop, the retail convenience subsidiary of Tesco plc with over 750 stores across England and Wales. At One Stop, he led a team of over 40 IT professionals and played an active role in business innovation and step-change programmes. As well as managing One Stop's offline and point-of-sale IT solutions, John was also jointly responsible for the delivery of One Stop's digital strategy. Prior to his seven years with One Stop, John was Business Systems Manager with Signet Jewelers Limited, the largest speciality jewellery retailer in the US, UK and Canada, whose brands include H Samuel and Ernest Jones.

At The Share Centre, John will be responsible for systems architecture and development as well as technology infrastructure. The Share Centre's IT is a critical aspect of the company's activities and the development of its online channels is a major focus as the Group seeks to enhance engagement with its customers and continue to improve customer services and experience.
