Further agreement with Barclays Bank plc
to acquire up to 3,000 nominee share dealing accounts
Share (AIM: SHRE.LN), a leading UK independent retail stockbroker which operates The Share Centre, is pleased to announce an agreement with Barclays Bank plc ("Barclays") to acquire up to 3,000 nominee share dealing accounts currently serviced by Barclays Stockbrokers. Share expects the potential benefits of this agreement to become apparent from March 2016.
The accounts cover a number of customer types, the largest element relates to Investment Clubs. Barclays is notifying affected customers of its intention to exit from these services and will be directing account holders to The Share Centre. The effective date of transfer of services from Barclays to The Share Centre is planned for late February 2016.
The agreement is Share's second with Barclays, following an agreement, announced in March, to provide certificated dealing services. Almost 8,000 Barclays' customers have now registered to use the certificated dealing service provided by The Share Centre.
