AGM Statement

Share plc which operates The Share Centre Limited, a leading independent UK stockbroker, will be holding its Annual General Meeting at 11.00 a.m. today and will provide the following update on trading for the current financial year.

After a good start to the year, the positive trends seen in the first quarter have continued into the second quarter of the year and the Company continues to trade in line with management expectations. As announced on 24 April, revenues in the first quarter of 2014 were 6.3% higher than in the same period in 2013, with dealing commission up by 19% year-on-year and fee income up by 2%. The Company's performance in the first quarter against benchmarked peers has also been encouraging as previously reported with the Group's market share of peer group revenues at 7.30% (2013: 7.19%).

The Group's first half results to 30 June 2014 will be released on 5 August 2014.

Share also reports that after 16 years with The Share Centre as Director of Investor Service and Technology, Jeremy Helliwell will be retiring in October. A search for a new Director of Customer Experience for The Share Centre Limited is underway and progressing well. As a member of our senior management team, Jeremy has made a significant contribution to the business, putting in place the customer service disciplines which have enabled us to win multiple awards over many years for the quality of the service we provide to our customers. The Board and all his colleagues wish him a long and enjoyable retirement.
