Sigma Capital Group PLC11 March 2008 SGM SIGMA CAPITAL GROUP PLC ("Sigma" or "the Group") New Subsidiary Created to Focus on University IP Opportunities Sigma, the specialist asset manager, whose activities span venture capital fundmanagement, university IP commercialisation and property investment, is pleasedto announce that it has created a new, wholly-owned group subsidiary, Sigma IPLimited ("Sigma IP"), to conduct the Group's university IP commercialisationactivities. The creation of Sigma IP reflects the development of Sigma'sbusiness activities in the university IP sector and is in line with the Board'sambitions to capitalise on the opportunities available. Neil Crabb, Sigma's Chief Investment Officer, has been appointed as Chairman andDirector of Sigma IP and Alister Minty has been recruited as Director of SigmaIP in order to provide further support. Alister has substantial experience of IPcommercialistion. He is a founding director, seed-investor and Chairman of twotechnology companies spun out of the universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, andthe University of Strathclyde. Alister was also an early member of ScottishEnterprise's National High Growth Start-up Unit during which time he mentoredover 40 start-up and university spinout companies from pre-incorporation toinvestment.
