Highlights • Two investments completed totalling over £1m and led by Sigma • Sigma Sustainable Energies Fund - led £580,000 funding round for IRT Surveys Limited, a company which specialises in infrared thermography and technology services for the non-destructive testing of buildings and flat roofs with particular emphasis on identifying energy loss. • The Sigma Innovation Fund (East of Scotland) - led £500,000 funding round for Extramed Limited, a software business which has developed new systems for accident and emergency management, bed management and patient tracking systems for the NHS. IRT Surveys Limited ("IRT Surveys") The Sigma Sustainable Energies Fund a fund managed by Sigma TechnologyManagement Ltd, has invested £300,000 in IRT Surveys. As part of this round, a£280,000 debt facility was also secured. IRT Surveys provides hi-tech, non-destructive infrared thermographic surveys andtechnology services for the testing of buildings and flat roofs with particularemphasis on energy loss. IRT Surveys' customers include Scottish and SouthernEnergy plc, Tesco plc, British Gas plc, South Lanarkshire Council, BauderLimited and Icopal Limited. Extramed Limited ("Extramed") The Sigma Innovation Fund ("SIF"), a fund managed by Sigma Technology ManagementLimited, has led a total investment round of £500,000 in Extramed Limited. SIFinvested £250,000 as lead investor, with Scottish Enterprise ("SE") investing£100,000 from the recently launched SE Seed Fund. The company also secured a£150,000 debt facility. Extramed develops innovative clinically focused software products that fall intothree areas: Hospital and patient management systems, specialist solutions inexpanding clinical areas such as Osteopororis and Endoscopy and consultancyservices that compliment the company's product offerings.
