AGM Statement

Stadium (AIM: SDM), a leading supplier of connectivity solutions, power supplies, human machine interface products and electronic assemblies, will hold its Annual General Meeting today at 11.00am at the offices of N+1 Singer Advisory LLP, 1 Bartholomew Lane, London EC2N 2AX. 

At the meeting, Stadium's Chairman, Nick Brayshaw, will provide shareholders with the following update:

Last week we provided our shareholders with the opportunity to meet key members of the senior management team across our Technology Products divisions and to learn more about the successful execution of our Regional Design Centre strategy and the opportunities presented by the growing Single Board Computing market. The event was very well attended and provided investors with a greater insight into our strategy for the business and an opportunity to experience the team's enthusiasm for our Technology Products offering.

As we stated in our trading update ahead of the Technology Day, the first quarter of the year has traded in-line with management expectations, and during this period our forward order book continued to grow and now exceeds £28m, up from £25.8m at the year end.

The Board remains confident that our offering of complementary electronic technologies and specialist design-focused engineering expertise continues to be attractive to customers and that the growing demand already seen in the first quarter is expected to continue, further underpinning 2017 expectations.

We are pleased to have also announced today that Winston North will take up the position of Group Finance Director and Company Secretary on 15 May. Winston has an excellent set of relevant skills and extensive experience gained during his time as Divisional Finance Director within IMI plc and we look forward to his contribution to the business. The board would also like to thank Andrew Tonks for his work as Interim Finance Director over the last few months and for his support in ensuring an orderly handover to Winston.
