Result of General Meeting
Rurelec, the AIM quoted independent power plant developer with operations in South America, held its General Meeting at 12 noon today and announces that all resolutions put forward were voted down by shareholders.
As a result, the open offer proposed by the Company on 13 December 2015 ("Open Offer") will not be taking place. Shareholders should ignore all instructions in the Open Offer circular regarding completion of application forms and should not send any funds to Capita Asset Services. Any funds that have already been sent to Capita Asset Services in connection with the Open Offer will be refunded in accordance with the terms of the Open Offer.
As stated in the Open Offer circular, the Directors continue to attempt to source further financing for the Company. A further announcement will be made in due course.
