Regal Petroleum PLC02 June 2006 Immediate Release 2 June 2006 REGAL PETROLEUM PLC ("Regal" or "the Company") Ukrainian Update Regal advises that in respect of the ongoing legal dispute regarding thevalidity of the Company's production licences in Ukraine, Regal has obtained aninjunction order prohibiting the Ministry of Environmental Protection ("MEP")from taking any actions in relation to such production licences. Regal is currently conferring with its Ukrainian legal advisers regardingfurther legal action to establish the legality of its licences but in themeantime has obtained an injunction order prohibiting the MEP from taking anyactions in relation to such production licences, including any actions withregard to the annulment of such production licences or the creation of any otherlicences over the licence areas. The Company continues to be advised by its legal advisers in Ukraine that theCompany was awarded its licences in accordance with applicable rules, standardsand legislation of Ukraine.
