Result of General Meeting

Regal, the AIM-listed (RPT) oil and gas exploration and production group operating in Ukraine, Romania and Egypt, announces that the resolutions proposed at the General Meeting held earlier today to approve, inter alia, an increase in the directors' authority to allot equity securities and the disapplication of pre-emption rights in connection with the Placing, as set out in the notice of General Meeting dated 12 June 2009, were all duly approved by shareholders. 

Completion of the Placing remains conditional on Admission. It is expected that Admission of the 104,000,000 new ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the capital of the Company (the "Placing Shares") to trading on AIM will become effective, and that dealings in the Placing Shares will commence, at 8.00 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday 1 July 2009. The total number of ordinary shares in issue following completion of the Placing, and the total number of voting rights, will be 315,645,664. No ordinary shares are held in treasury.

The above figure of 315,645,664 ordinary shares may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Regal under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
