Vane Minerals PLC14 May 2007 VANE Minerals Plc ("the Company") Appointment of Uranium Exploration Manager VANE Minerals Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Bain asExploration Manager of its wholly owned uranium subsidiary, VANE Minerals (US)LLC. Mr. Bain brings to the Company a high level of relevant expertise in uraniumexploration, having worked as an exploration geologist with Kerr McGee Mineralsin Wyoming and also with Energy Reserves Group specifically on uranium brecciapipes in northern Arizona. Most recently, Mr. Bain was Field Office Geologistfor the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and so also brings invaluable experiencein U.S. permitting procedures. Following the decline in uranium prices in the 1980's, Mr. Bain entered base andprecious metals exploration with Asarco, a major copper miner in the US, andmanaged projects including the San Manuel Project. As a consulting geologist, healso managed projects for BHP Billiton, Phelps Dodge Mining, TVX Gold andPegasus Gold. Mr. Bain holds B.Sc. degrees in both Geology and Land Management and has 30years professional experience in the industry. He is also a RegisteredProfessional Geologist in the State of Wyoming.
