AGMĀ ResultĀ and Trading Update
The Real Good Food CompanyĀ plc (Symbol: RGD) is anĀ AIM-listed food Group, comprising three operating divisions: sugar, baking ingredients and bakery.Ā
At today's Annual General Meeting,Ā all resolutions wereĀ duly passed by shareholders.
Commenting on tradingĀ since the start ofĀ 2008, Chairman Pieter TottĆ©Ā said:
"I am pleased to be able to reiterate the comments I made in our preliminary results announcement in April. The current year has started with the Group tradingĀ in line with ourĀ expectations.Ā
"Market challenges remain,Ā heightened by uncertainties in commodity, credit and consumer markets.Ā Management's focus will remain on improved operational efficiency, inventory management, customer service, product innovation andĀ cash management.Ā
"For the full year the Board expects the Group to report stable profit before tax from continuing operations,Ā as raw material cost pressures are mitigated by the benefits accrued from both the efficiency improvement and cost recovery programmes initiated in 2007."Ā
