Review of strategic options continues
Offer talks terminated
On 25 March 2009, the board of Pure Wafer plc ("Pure Wafer" or "the Company" or "Group") announced that, as part of its ongoing discussions with its lenders, the Company had appointed advisers to explore various strategic alternatives for the business, including: re-financing of the business, restructuring the balance sheet, seeking an acquirer or potential equity fund raising.
Recent developments in these discussions have meant that the likelihood of receiving an offer for the shares of Pure Wafer plc and the Group as a whole has now diminished, however it continues to explore its other options with its banks. As a result, all discussions which may lead to an offer being made for Pure Wafer have now ceased and therefore the Group is no longer in an offer period.
The Company remains suspended until further notice.
