Parity Group plc
New £2 million per year contract with
British American Tobacco Ten year relationship extended to provide IT services and support until 2011
Parity Group PLC, the UK IT services group, is pleased to announce that it has extended its contract with British American Tobacco (BAT), the international tobacco group, for a further three years. The new agreement will improve the value of service for BAT with a reshaped engagement model for service provision. Under the terms of the contract, Parity will provide IT services and application support for a fixed fee of £1 million per year. In addition, Parity will deliver application development projects and consultancy services, worth an estimated £1 million each year. Parity has been working with British American Tobacco for almost ten years, providing application management services for business and project-specific applications. It currently supports 45 BAT applications and undertakes around 40 additional projects each year. These include developing and supporting BAT's management information and business intelligence systems, building web portals for document management and providing consultancy to implement business process change. "Over the past ten years, Parity has proven that it can add value to our business by delivering high quality projects and services," said Lee Hazell, GSD UK customer services manager at BAT. "We are confident that this relationship will continue to enhance our IT systems and processes."
