Panmure Gordon & Co. plc announces Edmond Warner as non-executive Chairman
Panmure Gordon & Co. plc, a leading independent investment banking and stockbroking group, announces the appointment of Edmond Warner as non-executive Chairman with effect from 1 October, 2010, replacing Simon Heale, who has been interim Chairman since September 2009. Simon will remain on the Board, becoming Panmure Gordon's first ever Senior Independent Director.
Mr Warner (47) was appointed to the Board on 1 December 2009 as an independent non-executive director. Ed has extensive experience in the investment banking industry. He was formerly chief executive of Old Mutual Securities, head of pan-European equities at BT Alex Brown and global head of research at both NatWest Markets and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. He is currently Chairman of UK Athletics Limited, the sport's national governing body, and derivatives exchange LMAX, and is a non-executive director of Clarkson plc, Standard Life European Private Equity Trust and The Eastern European Trust. He was recently appointed an independent non-executive of Grant Thornton UK LLP.
