US EPA BugOil® Registration and Trading Update

The Plant Impact Board is pleased to announce today that the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has registered tagetes oil (a primary component of the Company's BugOil) as a new active ingredient in the United States for use on food crops, as well as for turf and ornamental uses.

BugOil is Plant Impact's biological insecticide and a product which has demonstrated efficacy against a range of insect and mite species that target many economically important crops.

John Brubaker, Chief Executive Officer of Plant Impact, commented: "Securing EPA registration of BugOil is a confirmation of Plant Impact's technical capability and an important milestone for the Company. In addition, our recent resolution of certain BugOil licensing arrangements with Arysta LifeScience now gives us the opportunity to commercialise the product in the United States; the world's largest insecticide market. We are actively evaluating commercial alternatives to realise the full value of BugOil, but would stress that, whilst this is an important milestone, the registration of tagetes oil does not change our previously communicated focus on crop nutrient technologies."

Plant Impact also announces today that revenues for the financial year ended 31 March 2012 were approximately £1.9 million, with cash balances as at the year-end of approximately £1.3 million, consistent with expectations.

John Brubaker added: "We are very pleased with these headline results. In December 2011, we announced our intent to focus the Company's resources on fewer and geographically closer markets to ensure grower satisfaction and secure repeat sales. We have made these changes, and we are excited that we can nevertheless report growth over the prior year and an improving cash position. We are also encouraged by the current outlook for the remaining Northern Hemisphere shipment season of April, May and June."
