Board and Senior Personnel
The Board of Photo-Me (PHTM.L) is pleased to announce the appointment of a non-executive Director and of a Deputy Group Finance Director.
Appointment of Non-Executive Director
John Lewis, OBE, LLB (Hons), aged 67, is appointed a non-executive Director, with immediate effect. John Lewis has been a Consultant to Eversheds since 1995, Executive Chairman of Blakeney Holdings Ltd. since 1980, a non-executive Director of GR Holdings plc since 1975, a non-executive Director of Prime People plc since 2001, a Director of Sloane Square Hotel Ltd since 2004 and Chairman of the Groucho Club since 2007. He was a practising solicitor from 1964 to 1995, latterly a Senior Partner of Lewis, Lewis & Co., which amalgamated into Jaques & Lewis and subsequently Eversheds. He was previously Executive Chairman of Cliveden plc (1984-2002), Executive Chairman of Principal Hotels plc (1994-2001), Non-executive Vice Chairman of Pubmaster Group Ltd. (1996-2000) and Vice-Chairman of John D Wood & Co. plc (1989-1998).
Welcoming John Lewis to the Photo-Me Board, Hugo Swire, Chairman, stated, "As part of my commitment to rebuild the Board, I am delighted that we have attracted to the Board such an experienced and respected non-executive Director as John Lewis. His career includes years of serving on the Boards of public companies, as well as numerous senior roles at substantial private businesses."
There are no further matters to be disclosed in relation to this appointment pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
Appointment of Deputy Group Finance Director
Peter Fitzwilliam BSc (Hons), ACA, aged 48, was appointed Deputy Group Finance Director (not a Board position) with effect from 30 June 2008. He will deputise for Jean-Luc Peurois (Group Finance Director), to whom he reports, during his periods of absence so as to receive ongoing medical treatment.
Prior to 2007, when he was Chief Finance Officer and a Director of Watermark Group plc, Peter Fitzwilliam was Group Finance Director of Business Post Group plc, which he helped to take into the FTSE 250, from 1999 to 2006. Prior to that, he was at The Rank Group Plc from 1994 to 1999, including as Head of Worldwide Internal Audit and Leisure Division Financial Controller, and was in professional practice with Price Waterhouse (New York and London) from 1986 to 1994 and with Thomson McLintock (London) from 1982 to 1986.
Resignation of Interim Director and Interim Finance Officer
A consequence of the two above-mentioned appointments is that Robert Lowes steps down as Interim Director and Interim Finance Officer, to which positions he was appointed on 1 April 2008.
Change of Company Secretary
Following Robert Lowes' resignation from his interim positions, he reverts to being Company Secretary. Del Mansi, who was appointed Interim Company Secretary on 1 April 2008, resumes his previous position of In-house Counsel.
