AGM Statement and Trading Update

At today's Annual General Meeting of Plant Health Care Albert Fischer, Chairman, will make the following statement:

"At the time of the preliminary results announcement for the 12 months ended 31 December 2007 on 31 March 2008, we commented that our work with Bayer CropScience and Monsanto continues to take us closer to realising significant revenue and financial returns from the widespread exploitation of our natural technologies. Although the precise timing of revenues remains difficult to predict we remain of the view that the growth prospects from our natural technologies are very exciting.

We continue to explore all possible opportunities to maximise the potential from our technologies and are currently in discussions with several multi-national agriculture companies regarding the use of Myconate and Harpin on additional crops and in combination with other products and technologies.

Finally, as indicated previously, we remain on course to announce another important Harpin deal with one of the world's leading agricultural companies in the near term".
