Paragon Entertainment Limited Agree
Deal for the 'In the Night Garden' Attraction
Agreement with DHX Media to create the first preschool branded play centre in the UK
Paragon Entertainment Limited (AIML: PEL), the AIM-listed design and build, proprietary attractions and licensing and distribution company, is pleased to announce that its licensing and distribution division has entered into an agreement to create the first branded play centre attraction in the UK with the BAFTA Award-winning brand, "In the Night Garden".
Under the proposed arrangement, Paragon will own and operate the attraction in terms of an agreement with DHX Media. The Company is in the process of identifying a suitable location at which it will also retail In the Night Garden branded merchandise.
The In the Night Garden series was created by the original Teletubbies creative team, Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport. A ratings hit on CBeebies, it's merchandise and retail programme is highly successful and the In the Night Garden magazine is now the "Best Selling" solo pre-school title ever in print consistently since September 2007.
Commenting on the deal, Mark Pyrah, CEO of Paragon Entertainment, said:
"In The Night Garden is a hugely popular brand and one we are thrilled to be associated with. We look forward to working with In the Night Garden to create an innovative and memorable children's play experience. We also look forward to strengthening our relationship with DHX Media through collaboration on this exciting project."
Tom Roe, Commercial Director of DHX Media, said:
"We are delighted to take this well-loved preschool brand into a new attraction with a partner of this calibre. For the first time little fans will be able to immerse themselves in the brand through a fun play centre experience. We look forward to realising this vision and bringing In the Night Garden to life within the play centre environment."
