Oxus Gold Plc ("Oxus"or the "Company") (OXS.L) announces that it was notified on 26 November 2008 that Mr Richard Shead, a Non-executive Director of the Company, purchased 109,000 ordinary shares of the Company of 1p each.  On 24 November 2008, 34,000 shares were purchased at 5.5p per share and on 25 November 2008, 75,000 shares were purchased at 7p per share. As a result of the purchase, Mr Shead now has a beneficial interest in 309,000 ordinary shares of the Company, representing 0.08 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.

As at 26 November 2008, the Company had a total of 381,439,685 voting shares in issue.
