Oxus Gold PLC03 March 2008 news release For immediate release: 3 March 2008 OXUS GOLD PLC Appointment of Chairman LONDON: 3 March 2008 - Oxus Gold plc ("Oxus" or the "Company") (OXS.L) ispleased to announce that Douglas Sutherland, Acting Chairman of the Company, hasagreed to assume the role of non-executive Chairman of the Board with immediateeffect. Mr Sutherland has been serving as a non-executive director of the Company since11 October 2004 and as Acting Chairman since 8 December 2004. Mr Sutherland has over 40 years' experience in the banking sector, of which 34years were with the Nedbank Group (one of the four major bank groups in SouthAfrica), where he held senior positions in Johannesburg and London in investmentmanagement, corporate finance and capital markets.
